Alex Florez, professionally known as AlexMan, was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. He graduated as an Illustrator from the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas in 1998 and has over 25 years of experience in graphic design and illustration. For the past 16 years, AlexMan has called Aruba home, establishing himself as a local visual artist and contributing his work to a wide variety of spaces across the island. His art can be found in hotels, restaurants, Airbnbs, businesses, and private spaces, where he has created murals, custom artwork, decorative pieces, and visual concepts designed specifically for each environment. Throughout his career, he has also taught drawing, painting, and design software, while developing brand identities and creative projects for a diverse range of businesses. Passionate about mural art and large-scale visual storytelling, AlexMan's signature technique combines airbrush, acrylic paint, and expressive brushwork, resulting in bold, vibrant compositions that transform spaces and give each project its own unique character.
